It's called Xbox Adaptive Controller XAC and its design is unlike anything you've ever seen. The minimalist design has two large circular pads, a large directional control crossbar and some menu buttons. headphone jack on the side, as well as a USB port to connect a separate joystick, but what differentiates the XAC are the 19 3.5mm plugs on the back of the device.
The ports can be used to connect a wide range of assistive technology, including pedals, blow tubes, large buttons and even custom inputs. Each shot corresponds to a button on the Xbox controller. Port settings can also be custom mapped for any desirable configuration using the Xbox Accessories application. It has what Microsoft calls "Copilot Mode". This feature allows the XAC to pair with a standard Xbox controller to create a hybrid configuration. For example, the player can not reach the shoulder buttons. The pedals can be plugged into the shoulder ports of the XAC so that the player can control them with their feet while still using the regular controller for the rest of the buttons. The mode also opens the opportunity for the player with limited mobility to be assisted by a friend who uses the regular controller while using the adaptive controls.
